Aggressive Acids - No Problem For Watson-Marlow

Aggressive Acids - No Problem For Watson-Marlow

The lead engineer of a well known paper mill with locations across the country called Watson-Marlow to say he was in need of a pump that could handle a difficult acid solution in the paper bleaching process. This highly corrosive fluid causes problems with many other types of metering pumps. After speaking with the engineer, a Watson-Marlow 620S/R peristaltic pump was specified for the 0.02 to 1.1 gal/min flow rate range, along with 3/8" Marprene tubing for chemical compatibility and tube life.

This installation proved to be a tremendous success and the engineer finally got what he was looking for: accuracy, reliability and the confidence to specify peristaltic pumps on many other difficult to handle fluids in the paper making process. This Paper mill now uses over 200 pumps at its network of mills across the U.S.
