Water Treatment Plant handles cement water slurry

Water Treatment Plant handles cement water slurry

A drilling company in Waite Park, MN was at the end of their rope after trying a diaphragm pump and then a progressive cavity pump for their abrasive slurry application. The diaphragm pump kept getting clogged and the progressive cavity pump required constant and expensive maintenance.

After seeing a presentation on the Watson-Marlow Bredel SPX hose pumps that showed how the pump handled thick abrasive slurries the drilling company decided to give the SPX hose pump a try. They purchased a Bredel SPX50 hose pump and haven’t looked back. The drilling company was so impressed with the SPX50 they also purchased a Bredel SPX40 for another sealant slurry application. Not to mention additional Watson-Marlow pumps are now used to transfer water on the well drilling site.
